My name is Eduardo Dias da Costa.

I’m a undergraduated student of the Computer Science course of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil. I’m stablished in the city of Porto Alegre, my intention with this blog is to share all I have learned from my University, past jobs and personal experience in the Computer Science field. My first contact with programming was with Flash Actionscript (Flash v4.0) but it was a total disaster, in that time I was more a designer than programmer. My real experience and improvement came from my studies in University.

Nowadays I have much more experience in programming and luckily my design isn’t that bad too. The best part is that my course has a complete study program and because that I touched in more or less a bunch of programming languages and paradigms, some of them I’ll explain along in my blog.

More specific my real areas of interest are Math (in general), C/C++ Programming, Actionscript (2.0 and 3.0), Algorithms Theory, Programming Challenges (problem solving), Computational Geometry and Computer Graphics and of course GAME PROGRAMMING (in general). I know a bit about Parallel Programming (eg: Threads or Process Synchronization) and Networks (eg: Sockets), but don’t expect much!!
