Lacking…

Just to give a life signal…

Right now.. after the main develop of my tweener class.. I had to give a break into Flash and put some effort on my conclusion work.. My initial objective was to release the class in an alpha version and wait to some issues/ideas to show up.. So no more updates for a while, until some feedback is given..

Now I’m studying really hard the XNA Frame work I told you guys in the earlier posts..  For as I can see it’s awesome the simplicity of it’s library!! It wraps most of the “dirt” work and gives the oportunity for beginners programmers to do much of the development without much knowledge of real Computer Graphics!!

I’m really excited to see what kind of game I’ll be able to do with XNA!!

At same time I think I’ll post some tutorials of it too.. Looking in the net I didn’t see much things well explained… just tutorials that “throw” things that is not so eay to understand without a good “step-by-step” explaining…

Just  wait!

Thanxs!!

Awesome — XNA is great. My graduation paper proof of concept will be based on XNA and I’m loving it. They *do* have great tutorials around… you can learn a bunch of stuff from there, there’s an awesome community online, and many, many official examples to look at. Usually I don’t like the way MS creates their APIs - tons and tons of overloads, Pascal case for methods, grr - but that’s just the surface. The thing is awesome when you stop to look at it, and pretty easy to work with.

But one word of advice: while it’ll be cool looking at XNA now, you might want to wait for the release of XNA Game Studio 2.0. It’ll be out sometime later this year, and it will change a bit of how some things are done, specially with sound, and a slight change in overall structure (as well as add new features such as network support). So if you dive too deep now, you’ll probably have to discard some of the knowledge in favor of the new stuff. This happened in the past as font support was radically changed (for the better I must add) on a recent studio release, so it’ll probably happen now too.

I have always been fascinated with web design. I want to learn more. Can you guys recommend me any good online tutorials about flash or web design in general?
